light breaks over trees
daddy stands beside the car
they are running late
mornings are not the easiest
letting go of precious hands
Do you have to leave your kids every morning when you go to work? If so, do you have any rituals to make it easier?
I have recently read that some parents say the same thing, or do something (like give butterfly kisses) so that their children know that it is time to go, and don’t cry when it is time for them to leave.
Every morning is difficult – it causes me great sadness to spend so much of our precious time apart… Wonderfully captured in your tanka…be well~
