Praying for Friends
I hit my knees, close my eyes
Silently I start to cry
Save us Lord, hold us up
Come with us to sup
We need you here by our side
Or quickly we begin to slide
I call to you in place of friends
Who cannot make their knees to bend
Stiff knees, stiff necks, they will not move
Send your Holy Spirit here to soothe
Their hearts are hard, their heads hang heavy
Quickly will you break the levy
I fear for them, they really need
Your book of words to heed
Love us Lord, even when we fail
Let us drink from your holy grail
Give us to drink of your blood
Cleanse us with a holy flood
I intercede for those who say
To your word they cannot give way
In Jesus name Amen
I will call on you again
I know that I cannot choose my friend’s paths. But I can pray about it. I feel how I feel, and no one can tell me it is wrong.
I pray that all of my friends and family come to know Jesus Christ as their savior. I will pray this for as long as I have breath to pray with.

This is so beautiful, better than the prayers I pray for my unsaved neighbors. God bless you–love, sis Caddo
Oh thank you Caddo. These are thoughts I have often, I’m glad to see people “liking” this poem.
