Checking Cows with Dad
riding shotgun
taking square bales to the cows
dad closes the gate
they moo and run toward us
I drive while he throws the hay
This is actually me reminiscing back to my childhood. I grew up on a farm, and helped my dad with the cows a lot. I learned to drive by steering the pickup across the field, while my Dad stood on the tailgate and threw square bales to the cattle. I had to break for the cows and stop the truck very easy so my Dad would not fall. I never threw him off of the truck, but I did accidentally scare him a couple of times. I was seven when I first got to drive/steer the pickup.
congrats on your 100th haiku!!! Keep up the great work!
