Seeking Grace on Wandering Wednesday

Missouri State Capitol Ceiling, mosaic

Seeking Grace

Just when I thought I was standing so tall

Just when I thought I had done so well

I was reminded I’m not far from hell

Puffed up so proud I fell pretty hard

Realization came when I tasted the dirt

With pride I shouldn’t flirt

Power and pride make a tall man

But a heavy head soon sways

I have been brought back from my ways

On bent knee with a bruised face

I seek Your Grace

Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, God throws ya a curve ball.

Have you been swinging and missing lately? Or hitting homeruns?
