A Flickering

  A Flickering
The world was covered
in ash and soot
It looked like there
would be everlasting cold
Until I found the lost fire
in your hands

So how’s this for a love poem? I thought it was gentle and yet still packed a punch at the end.

  1. Beautiful metaphor! I’m glad to be back at my laptop after a summer in the garden. Oh, I’ll still be out there, but now is a time to get back in touch with friends “out there”. Your poems are exquisite.
