Day 4 My Poetry NaHaiWriMo

they try to tell me
that the world is grey, no lines
zebra in the wild

If you are unsure of the rules/definition/form of haiku then please go to my What is Haiku? page. Feel free to direct any friends there who may be unsure of what is happening in the poetry community this month.
Also tell them to check out the Facebook page where most of us poets meet to get a prompt and share our work. Today’s prompt is “zebra”.

I hope you have been able to write your own haiku poem for National Haiku Writing Month. Feel free to share your poem in my comments section below (Share your thoughts)! I know that you may not feel like you have the time. I am now working Full-time doing 2 jobs, while taking my young son to school. I am also in a leadership position at church, as I am the Director of our Women On Mission Group. I am more busy than I have ever been before, but that’s okay. I am making a difference in the world and I am not bored.

Even if you don’t write haiku, or even if it isn’t your favorite type of poetry, please consider sharing your friends and favorite blogger’s work this month. It is getting harder and harder to share on social media as all of the sites like Facebook now hide your posts, in hopes that you will pay to make them appear. So please subscribe to and follow me and any other poets that you like and check the hashtag #NaHaiWriMo on Twitter.

Share your thoughts on this piece.
